Мета:формувати вживання нових лексичних одиниць,вдосконалювати навички усного мовлення й читання,тренувати в аудіюванні,розвивати мовну здогадку та мовленнєву реакцію учнів,розвивати пам'ять та пізнавальні інтереси учнів,виховувати інтерес до іноземної мови.

PROCEDURE

I.Організаційна частина

1.Привітання

- Good morning, children.

-Good morning, teacher.

-Sit down please. Let’s start our lesson.

2.Повідомлення теми та мети уроку

- Yesterday we wrote a control work. And today we start new theme. What is the theme about, let’s guess. Watch a short video and say me what it about.

-Yes, you are right. Today we start learnt about  the UK. And the theme of our lesson: At the map of Great Britain.

-We are going to speak about Great Britain, doing many different tasks, read the text, listening the sing.

-So, let’s start our lesson.

3. Warming-up

-Find Great Britain on the map and write down as many things about the country that come into your mind as you can.

-Work in small groups. Compare your list.

-You have three minutes for doing this task.

-Who want to present your work?

-Is this task difficult or easy for you? Why?

1. Game “Do you know Great Britain”

- Who wants to play game?

-Your task is. Come to me, take stripes of paper, read the task, answer the question and point at the map.

-Who is ready?

-How many part consist Great Britain?

-Which ocean washed Great Britain?

- Who is the head of Great Britain?

2. Writing

- Now, I take you sheet of paper and your task is choose the correct word.

- And after you done this task translate the sentences.

- One sheet of paper for two people. Work in pairs.

1.    The UK includes/consist of four parts: England, Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland.

2.    When people mention/refer to the country, most of them shorten its name to the United Kingdom, the UK or Britain.

3.    The North Sea and the English Canal/Chanel separate/divide the island from Europe.

4.    The climate is manipulated/influenced by the Gulf Stream.

5.     Northern Ireland which occupies/conquers the north-eastern state/part of Ireland lies to the west, across/round the Irish Sea.
